NAV has proven himself to be one of the hottest upcoming rappers in the game and he shocked the world last week when he dropped his latest track aimed at XXL Magazine titled Freshmen List. NAV claims that “XXL Magazine hasn’t been credible in 10 years” and wants other artists to know that they don’t need approval from magazines like XXL to proven they are “hot”. NAV dropped Freshmen List last week and continue dissing the Magazine today via Instagram saying “f#ck XXL Magazine, your magazine is trash, and the website is sorry”. People are speculating that NAV is only dissing XXL Magazine because he didn’t make the “Freshmen List” but he claims he doesn’t need it but that may be due to the fact that he is signed and has the backing of one of the world most popular artist, The Weekend who signed him to XO.

“I wouldn’t show up for the freshman list” FUCK @XXL YOUR MAGAZINE IS TRASH??SORRY WEBSITE ??. To my fellow artists – we shouldn’t look to a magazine for validation or to tell us if we “hot or not”, especially one that hasn’t been credible for 10 years @xxl. Make music for yourself and your fans. I would never show up for the Freshman List cuz I don’t need their approval” – NAV

NAV also called out the person responsible for making the Freshmen List, Vanessa Satten aka the XXL Editor-in-Chief via Twitter.
