Udja Temple Ministries, in partnership with Magic City Agriculture Project, have been advocating for the Chapman Family and calling for justice for Kindra Darnell Chapman since her death on July 14, 2015 while in police custody in Homewood, Alabama. Kindra was an 18 year old Afrikan American youth, self-identified as queer, beloved of her family, friends and community. There are still serious questions that remain unanswered surrounding her death. The Jefferson County DA has declined pursuing criminal investigation, determining that her death was self-inflicted. While continuing to fight for justice for Kindra, the Chapman Family are in immediate need of funds to cover funeral and burial expenses. Donate here!

Please send IMMEDIATELY any amount you can to help raise $5400 to lay our beloved Kindra’s body to rest.
