Charlamagne Tha God says “Atlanta has had the greatest hip-hop run ever”

Atlanta sits at the pinnacle of hip-hop when it comes to the impact its sound and culture has made on mainstream hip-hop and with acts like Outkast, Future, Migos, T.I, Jeezy, Gucci Mane and etc. Hip-hop is the worlds most popular genre of music so Atlant’s influence on music is unmatched as it seems all genres are trying to incorporate the “trap” sound in the music. Today one of hip-hop’s top critics, Charlamagne Tha God is back in the headlines after he sat down with Joe Budden and spoke on a number of topics including Atlanta’s dominant run in hip-hop. CTG made an argument which is a common topic on forums like Boxden, Reddit, KTT & The Coli saying that “Atlanta has the longest hip-hop run ever”. This statement sparked a lot of controversies especially with artist and fans out of New York who feels that New York is the “culture” of hip-hop. It’s clear that the top artist even out of New York is heavily influenced by Atlanta with some of their best artist sounding like they could be from hoods like Bankhead, Mechanicsville or East Atlanta. Cardi B & Tekaski69 are two of the hottest acts out of New York and its impossible to argue that they both modeled their sound after Atlanta. CTG spoke with Joe Budden, Wayno, Casanova, & Maino in “Pull Up” EP 1. Watch the clip below and you can also watch the entire first Episode of “Pull Up” below.

Kanye West says”He Does Not Fear God” & says “religion is used as a tool to control people”

Kanye West announced that he would be dropping a new in June and broke the net a few days ago but today he’s back in the headlines but this time it’s not about music. Anytime Kanye West is on Twitter he’s bound to shake things up and today he’s under fire after he posted a rather interesting Tweet about “fearing Gods”. Kanye West was quoted saying “I don’t subscribe the term and concept of God-fearing. That’s a dated mentality that was used to control people. We are in the future. If God is love and loves it’s the opposite of fear then…to fear God makes no sense”. Kanye West has always been outspoken but these claims are surely going to cause a lot of controversies and coming from a man who made a song like Jesus Walks it makes you wonder. Yeezy will surely keep going on about his new thought process throughout the day and this surely will be one of the biggest stories of the week. Kanye West & also claims that “We are in the future”. He also asks ” If God is love and love it’s the opposite of fear then…to fear God makes no sense?”

Kanye West is surely a forward thinker but these Tweets seem a bit strange considering it’s not even 11 am and Yeezy is Twitter ranting. We will continue to update the post as more details develop, check back soon.

600Breezy – “Who Run It” (Freestyle)

freestyle. Rocking a fiery verse off the dome and through the prison phone, Breezy demonstrates his rap supremacy on “Who Run It?,” the latest freestyle over the Three 6 Mafia beat. Bodying DJ Paul and Juicy J’s classic horn-heavy instrumental with assonant boasts, Breezy doesn’t let his current incarceration get in the way of his confidence: “Breezo when you coming home/Bitch I’m on my way out/Cause I ain’t got no curfew/They just fuckin’ hang out.” Breezo’s freestyle is the latest entry in G Herbo and Drake’s Who Run It Challenge.

Prior to returning to prison, 600Breezy built a reputation as a prolific and authentic street sensation in his hometown. 600 Breezy got a major boost last year when he popped up for a cameo on Drake’s More Life, the highest selling album of the year so far. The culmination of a months-long mutual respect and friendship with the famous Toronto rapper, Breezy lent More Life one of its most memorable “drops” at the end of “Lose You” as he shouted out Drake via voicemail. Last May, 600Breezy shared his impossibly hard album Breezo George Gervin (Leading Scorer Edition), boasted tracks such as the Al-Doe-featuring “Never Told,” and the menacing posse cut “Moonlight.” In 2016, Breezo shared Breezo George Gervin: Iceman Edition, which boasted top notch production contributions from Metro Boomin, London On Da Track, and 808 Mafia’s Southside and Tarentino and a guest appearance from OJ Da Juiceman. Last year, six months before the completion of his five year probation term on drug possession, Breezy was sentenced to prison time in Iowa for a technical violation of probation, a sentence his lawyers are fiercely contesting. Though he is currently serving time, the streets eagerly await the return of 600Breezy and his indefatigable bars.
